CSC Paymaster, Inc. is an automated data processing company that specializes in the preparation of payrolls. The company processes over 1400 payrolls and employs twenty-five people. The company is located at 37 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick Rhode Island.

CSC Paymaster, Inc. began operation in the fall of 1964. It was incorporated in 1968 under the name Computer Service Consultants, Inc. and provided data processing services to an array of business types, including construction companies, retail and wholesale dairies, fuel oil companies, and jewelry concerns in the southern New England area. CSC Paymaster, Inc. was the first commercial "time sharing" facility in the state of Rhode Island, and was profiled in a 1972 business section of the Providence Journal with its first timesharing system, a Honeywell model 1642.

Throughout the 70's and early 80's, CSC Paymaster, Inc. developed systems which allowed users, via standard telephone hookups to maintain inventories, prepare detailed invoices, project fuel deliveries, report to Federal milk market agencies, maintain construction cost systems, and direct the most efficient national shipping routes for mass media product sales.

Late in 1981, a basic payroll system was developed in-house on IBM equipment, and over the years this software evolved into the current service that CSC Paymaster, Inc. offers.

CSC Paymaster, Inc. has expanded the capabilities of its payroll software to provide many additional features such as complete on-line/internet processing and inquiry, windows interface, CD weekly and quarterly reports, direct deposit access, tax filing, web based time and attendance, laser printing, and 401-k / Section 125 'cafeteria plan' enhancements. In 2009, CSC Paymaster, Inc. processed approximately 1.8 million checks valued at over 1.06 billion dollars and paid over 346 million dollars in employment taxes.

In April 1991, Computer Service Consultants, Inc. changed its name to CSC Paymaster, Inc., more accurately reflecting its goal to become the foremost payroll processor in New England.
